Reiki

Reiki is an energy healing technique similar to acupuncture. But where acupuncture uses needles, Reiki uses warm, soothing touch.

More gentle and subtle than a massage, Reiki practitioners draw on a deep understanding of the energy system within the human body, and the healing power of deep relaxation, visualization and meditation.

Our bodies have an incredible ability to mend themselves. But when we tax our systems with constant stress, or we don’t take good care of ourselves, we make it very difficult for our bodies to heal properly.

When we enter a deeply relaxed state we take full breaths, our mind slows as though in sleep, our muscles relax, our heart rate and pulse drop and even our digestion slows. This process allows our bodies to conserve energy, and redirects our body’s systems to heal, mend, and restore.

Even modern medicine is beginning to recognize the value of Reiki, and many hospitals are including Reiki in post-op recovery, in labor and delivery, in hospice care, and even delicate emergency room procedures.

I like to combine the soothing and relaxing touch of Reiki with guided meditation to help my clients release old fears, traumas, and patterns to promote physical and emotional healing.

Gentle, soothing, relaxing, and based on ancient healing techniques from around the world, Reiki is a powerful tool to help us heal from past traumas as we  move into a more balanced and centered future.
